Board gaming every Saturday 6pm until we want to quit (usually about 1am). We usually play European Strategy Games, but everyone is welcome to bring any game they would like to share. Large selection of silver age, Dell, Gold Key, Disney, Marvel, Epic, Comico, etc. 1980's, some golden age.

This comic shop is a best-kept secret. The owner, Gary John, and his staff, are constantly adding, improving, and changing the store layout and adding to the comics line. Lately they've been adding lots of small press titles. They have a nice stock of TPBs. They have a big selection of games and host free game playing weekly (check the web site for which). The folks are friendly, selection of new comics refreshing, knowledge of games is way beyond mine, and the comics backstock is solid if not huge. They also have lots of action figures (sports as well as comic and fantasy-related). They are in the Trader Joe's /K-Mart shopping center in Springfield, close to the mixing bowl. [7/15/06]
