Owner/Employee Info/Comments:
Big Planet Comics is "the comic reader's comic shop." We have a huge selection of trade paperbacks, graphic novels, and manga from large and small publishers--and also carry a full range of current comics.

Store Review:
PLEASE NOTE: The views expressed here are not those of THE MASTER LIST, but rather, those of people who have visited the store listed above. Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions.

  1. The store fairly recently (in 2011, I believe) added a small selection of games (mainly RPGs and board games) and gaming supplies. [07/21/12]

  2. It's an excellent shop, better than any I've ever seen for TPBs and hardcovers of all sorts. I'd note that they also have a large section specifically for kid-friendly TPBs, and an old-fashioned spinner rack for kid-friendly comics. In terms of physical space, it's a pretty small store, but they make very good use of the space they have. This means they can't really carry a significant back issue stock, as noted in the previous review, nor do they go as heavily into the toys/action figures/statuette thingies as many stores.

  3. Very big trade paperback selection, good selection of new books, and the guys who work there all seem pretty friendly and sociable. Their back issue selection had recently been liquidated, though, so the only back issues that are older than several months are those found in their 50 cent boxes. That's the only complaint, though. Otherwise, it's a pretty good store.
