Store Review:

  1. I really didn't like The Comic Boxx in Cleburne. I thought I would love it. It is located in an old downtown ground level lot. They have shelves full of boxes of backissues which I love to buy. Those shelves are all roped off though. I asked if I could look at the shelves or at least look at a box at a time off of one of the shelves and was told no. They referred me over to a lady sitting at a computer in the middle of the store who asked what title I was looking for. I was just browsing, but I said "fantastic four". The lady pulled up fantastic four on their website. Their website had no scans of the covers or grades. It seemed like they wanted me to chose an issue and just give them my money and get the heck out. I left without buying anything. I have never been more dissapointed in my experiences at a comic shop. [10/26/07]

  2. Product selection is awesome, store owner and employees are very friendly, the store layout and cleanliness could be improved especially since they hold MTG, Yu Gi Oh, D&D, and other such games on the weekends and sometimes during the week. It's not the greatest atmosphere to play in but that is the only negative. Other than that, this is the place to go locally for your gaming hobby needs. Store owner knows his stuff but actually does not participate in the games himself.
