- Well, since this store has moved to it's new location, it's gotten better. Mainly, it's much larger! And that completely takes care of the clutter problem. I dare say this is one of the largest comic stores I've ever set foot in. They have pretty much everything too. Lots of great back issues, all of the new comics, plenty of trade paperbacks. Plus there are several boxes, off to the side, that hold cheaper 50 or 25 cent comics. Look through these! I've found lots of books that were fairly recent and sold for as much as $2.50 new in the 50 cent boxes! Great bargains. As for parking, it's great. The store is in a pretty big shopping center so there shouldn't be a shortage of parking ever. But I must say, the store's employees that I've met, while they were nice and did their job well, they were not what I would call "friendly" exactly. But it really doesn't hurt the experience of the store. It's well worth the trip to check this store out.
- The store is pretty large with a good variety, with a heavier balance toward Japanese imports (comics and toys). The store itself is well-lit but a little cluttered, although not to where things are hard to reach. On one occasion, I found a wall scroll that a customer (I assume) had damaged--it was hanging from one end only--but I located the missing pieces and fixed it. I'm not sure how long it had been that way or whether the staff had seen it, but it was upsetting that it was left that way to begin with, by whoever. Prices are slightly increased from retail, but not horrendously so--comics are often at least $.05 more than the cover price (perhaps to "round off"), and some of the DVDs are $5-10 more than could be found elsewhere, while others are more reasonably priced. Trading/CCG cards were displayed with a notice: "If you have to ask for a discount, you need a better-paying job!" The store is somewhat inaccessible due to its location--it is harder to access the store coming from the north than from the south because it is located on a busy street close to the intersections of three different roads. There is close to no parking in front of the store but lots in the back (a whole level down). However, the staff always seemed courteous and eager to help me if I needed anything, and the store tends to stock anything I might want that other stores won't have. Overall, a good store, but not my favorite. [This may not be a "fair" evaluation because I only looked at certain items and visited infrequently with different staff on duty, but I'm reporting what I experienced.]
