Store Review: PLEASE NOTE: The views expressed here are not those of THE MASTER LIST, but rather, those of people who have visited the store listed above. Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions. I visited this store for the first time recently and it is truly a mega-store! This is one of the largest comic book stores I've ever visited. It's huge. There is a really large selection of new comics...anything you want and then some. The back issue selection is also great. They have tons of back issues dating back to at least the 60s, and probably farther back than that. The back issues in the main area are all priced $2, $5, or $10, and there is a smaller area with several boxes of $1 back issues. Look through those and you can probably find some truly good issues for a buck. This store has the largest selection of magazine back issues I've ever seen in a comic book store. They also have a lot of used paperback books, mostly sci-fi and action genres, that are very reasonably priced. The gaming section takes up roughly 1/3 of the store and looks like it is well stocked, but I'm not a gamer so I can't really say for sure. The employees here were as friendly as can be. The store is arranged very well and is totally clutter-free. It's incredibly easy to find whatever you're looking for. There's plenty of parking and the store is fairly easy to locate. If you don't know exactly where it is you may have to look a little harder for it, as I don't remember seeing a sign right by the road, but the sign on the store itself stands out enough that you should be able to spot it in time to turn off. I would highly recommend you visit this store if you're in Columbia or anywhere nearby. I was very glad I did and I will most certainly return in the future. [10/14/09] |
