This store is awesome all around. First of all, let me say that it is one of the cleanest, most uncluttered, comic book stores I have ever seen. It has a nice layout, with comics and related merchandise on one side of the store, and music & gaming stuff on the other side. Pastimes has a great selection of comics, both new and back issues. There is a rack stocked with plenty of TPBs, and two racks in the back of the store holding all of the comics from the past 5 to 6 months or so. So if you've missed something, it's very easy to locate. Employees here are about as friendly as they can be. They are quite helpful, and if they don't have a particular book, they'll gladly order it or do whatever they can to get ahold of a copy for you. And they aren't above taking time to talk with customers about the latest comics, movies, TV, or whatever. My only complaint about the store is the location. It's smack dab in the middle of a small shopping center. On Sundays the parking lot is nearly empty, so it's easy to park. But Monday through Saturday, all of the other stores are open, and finding a parking space can be a slight pain as the lot is pretty small. But, most likely, you will find a space. You'll just have to walk a little farther to get to the store, that's all. Oh, and Pastimes has a reservation (or whatever you call it) service, so that if you can't make it to the store every week, they will hold your books for you for 30 days until you can come pick them up. Plus, if you reserve 10 titles or more, you get a 10% discount on your purchases :) This store is well worth checking out if you live in or are visiting the Asheville area.
