- I am a faithful customer of Madison, NJ's Dewey's Comic City! They are now more on the main drag, which helps make it much more consumer friendly, and not so off-the-beaten-path any more. They are not considered on the main street, but that is only a technicality, they really are, and their store is bigger and still retains its collections of good comics and knowledgeable staff.
- A really nice store with a knowledgeable staff. A bit off the beaten path, hidden down an alley, but once you find your way inside, there's plenty of merchandise to explore. Their back issue selection is rather small, but they make up for it with a huge trade paperback offering. They carry a huge variety of titles, though sometimes the independent titles are squeezed into a tiny space, guaranteeing that no one will see them to buy them. Madison is a college town, so they have a good client base.
- This store is beautiful! I have seen many comic stores with ugly store fronts right on the street, but Dewey's is unnasuming, in an cool well-lit allyway, and the window display is never cluttered and dirty. The atmosphere inside is bright and welcoming, probably because the clerks are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of current stuff, but back issues move slowly, so that section is scaled back for more space! The store seems to change for one's individual needs. This is the best store in my wide experience of retailers.
