- As a customer who has visited myriad fantasy, gaming, rpg, sports card and comic stores all up and down the east coast, I can say that Charlie's is one of best stores around. His product is varied, everything from a baseball card out of a pack of cigarettes from the late 1800's to the latest ccg's, board games, and rpgs around. If you are a collector of toys, sports cards, non-sports cards and toys, or if you are a gamer of any kind, you will find what you are looking for and more at Charlie's shop. His layout is fantastic, he has tables for various kinds of gaming as well as a "Halo" room set up for rounds of up to 16 player "Halo 2" games. Every Friday is "Friday Night Magic" with Magic: the Gathering, as well as Tuesday night casual games. It can be hard to find just a decent gaming store out there that will let you play Magic with with a great group till the small hours of the morning. You won't find many stores like this outside of the crowed hyped up mall setting, where store hours are restrictive and employees are impersonal. This is a store for people who love all things sports, gaming, anime, and lots of other things both fantastic and wierd. Charlie's isn't just a good store, it's one of the greats. [12/28/05]
- I have been going to Charlies since I started playing Magic The Gathering in 1996. I have probably missed less then 20 Friday Magic Nights since I started going there. I make the hour and a half round trip despite the fact that there are other gaming stores closer to my house. I do this because of the great atmosphere that exists at Charlies Comics Cards and Games. Charlie is a "customer first" owner. He listens to his customers requests weather it be to include new food items, create a Magic night on Tuesday, or provide newer chairs. And as a Magic player I love the mix of competitive and casual games that we play. The players at this store have various strengths and provide great competition. They are also willing to help new players grow into great players. We have a core group of about 12 people, four of whom have been playing here on a regular basis longer then myself. So if you are looking for a great place to shop, or play a game of magic, or any of the other games that take place at Charlies, consider yourself invited. [8/28/05]
- Charlies is a friendly place, Magic played two nights a week, Pokemon league on Sat. D&D on Sundays, and ongoing HALO 2 X-box, and other games. [8/12/05]
