Store Review:
PLEASE NOTE: The views expressed here are not those of THE MASTER LIST, but rather, those of people who have visited the store listed above. Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions.
- The store has went through some changes in the past couple of years. All for the better. They want the customer to be happy. If a comic runs out they will reorder it if they can. New releases each week. (Comics, graphic novels, action figures, shirts, statues, posters & HeroClix.) They get first printings, second printings (They want the comic in stock) & variants. They have a decent selection of action figures, but only the ones they can make money off of. You won't find Transformers toys there because they simply can't compete with the bigger stores (WalMart, Toys'R'Us). They have a good selection of trades, both soft and hard cover. If you want something that is not in stock and they can get a hold of one, expect it to be in the store waiting for you once they get it. It's not the biggest place, but I have no problem getting things there. If I want it and it's not in stock, they order it and I get it. Some items take longer then others but I always can get what I want. It's a friendly environment. If you have a question about something from comics history, odds are they have the answer. [11/25/07]
- They primarily sell comics. They do have some cards still but there specialty is comics. They get the new batch in every week. They have a good size back issue collection. They have some of the older golden/silver age issues. They definatly know what they are talking about and have a good memory. I asked about an issue. The issues came out about 3-4 weeks later and one of the guys that works there Wednesday's remembered that issue and set it aside and it wasn't on my pull list. They do run out of copy's sometimes but they are not a huge store like Midtown comics so the owner would prefer to under-order then over-order which is understandable to me. [1/27/06]
