Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions. Beyond Comics is a well-stocked, independent-friendly comics shop. Everything from the latest "X" books to obscure independent stuff, along with a few photocopied, local comics, is covered. The staff, usually just one guy behind the register, are congenial, and more than willing to dig through the store's packed racks for a comic you can't find. The store is small, but it is generally easy to find what you want, with wall racks that are loosley divided by genre (big press, small press, cartoon comics, etc.). Beyond Comics is definitely the best comics store in the Gaithersburg area. (If you are local to Gaithersburg, you might want to drive a bit and check out Big Planet Comics in Bethesda and Barbarian Books in Wheaton.) |
