- I was a regular at Clint's for years before I moved to Baton Rouge to attend law school at LSU, and I can honestly say that the level of indivdiual customer service provided at his store is the best in the state. Clint's devotion to his customers is something to behold - if you miss an issue, he'll go to great lengths to secure you a new one, and he's always helpful if you want to make additions or subtractions to your regular pull list. Plus, he's one of the nicest people on Earth. When I move back to north Louisiana (which I hope to do in the next year or so), you can bet that one of my first stops will be at Clint's. [9/20/05]
- Clint has the only true comic shop in Monroe at this time. He is a great guy who will go out of his way to help you. If you're looking to sell comics, he doesn't have the capital or space to buy a lot of stuff that won't sell so I'd call him first. He seems interested in picking up old, off the wall stuff. He has a store copy of Previews that everyone is encouraged to look through and pre-order. He does not order much more than is pre-ordered by form or monthly pull-list so if you're expecting to just drop in and pick up something coming out this week, you may be out of luck. He is always willing to try and re-order anything. He gives 15% off cover price on all new comics and other items such as gaming books/modules. He usually charges less than the suggested retail price on non-comic book items that you pre-order. I occasionally go to other shops out of town and buy stuff that is too old to be ordered, but I wouldn't trade Clint's friendly personal service and good prices to have one of those shops in town.
- The store is rather small, but the guy who runs it is very friendly and accomodating. There's not a whole lot of variety, especially of non-mainstream stuff, out on the shelves. However, pre-orders are encouraged, and you can order anything you want with good results. Regular customers can establish a regular pull list which is very well adhered to. This is the best store in the area.
