Store Review:
PLEASE NOTE: The views expressed here are not those of THE MASTER LIST, but rather, those of people who have visited the store listed above. Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions.

  1. Friendly owner who has a geniune love for Sci-Fi, Role Playing and Magic Cards. The "Magic Lounge" is a great spot for the die-hards to kick back. However, from the standpoint of comic stores it sorely lacks. It is a veritable museum of old TV Guides and Sci Mags on the wall but really mis-represents as a comic book shop. The bins are in poor condition and rarely warrant the asking price for back issues as a result. This store should be considered a trading card, role playing games store with an after-thought for comics. [2/11/07]

  2. Worlds away is usually happy to give you a deal on whatever you want buy, but only takes cash on any sale. No credit cards or interac. They don't have as many comics as others but have one of the top magic card selections in London. [9/3/05]

  3. After reading the first review, there were several problems I noticed with it. First Worlds Away has the BEST prices for comics in the city, you pay ONLY the cover price for the book, which includes all taxes and even if you are not a subscriber you get a FREE Bag and board with your purchase! Best deal in town, AND if you were a subscriber you can get up to a 10% discount ON TOP of only paying cover price and a bag and board with every comic! If the store does not have what you need, the owner can easily get it if it is his suppliers stock. For me, just knowing the price I see is the rice I pay alone is worth my loyalty. :-) [6/27/05]

  4. Would not recommend for comic customers. Too much time spent by owner in the "Magic" lounge at the back of his store. Comics seem to be an after thought. However, gamers would feel right at home! Store has a "mouldy" feel to it, poor discounts and limited stock make it an unfreindly atmosphere for comic book purchasers.
