Store Review: PLEASE NOTE: The views expressed here are not those of THE MASTER LIST, but rather, those of people who have visited the store listed above. Please take all opinions expressed here at the value of what they are: opinions. Product selection is a little limited but growing (they're a new store and still building their trade paperback inventory), and they're more than willing to order anything you can't find on the shelves, if it's available. The employees are friendly and helpful. Nathan Fillion, star of Fox's FIRELY and the upcoming film SERENITY, singled out the store for praise after a lengthy diatribe excoriating another local shop. Fillion: "Edited...to mention how wonderfully my dear mom was treated at HAPPY HARBOR. Thank you, staff and owners at Happy Harbor. You made my mom's day." The store is well laid out and clean. There's a lounge area with a couple of couches and a variety of soft drinks for sale, and an all-purpose meeting area used for weekly hero clix tournaments, bi-weekly comic jams (featuring local small press artists, but open to all), and various other special events that the store runs fairly regularly. The longest uninterrupted wall in the store is all window, so there's plenty of natural light. |
